AMERICANLIFE TV NETWORK UNVEILS NEW SENIOR EXECUTIVE TEAM
Ed Frazier, John Goldhammer and Jon Lunsford Take Senior Roles At Baby Boomer Network
Los Angeles, CA September 23, 2009 Continuing to bolster its executive management team, AmericanLife Network (ALN) announced today that accomplished TV industry veterans Ed Frazier, John E. Goldhammer and Jon Lunsford have come on board in Executive positions at ALN - the only independent network devoted to Americas baby boomer generation and their families, delivering classic TV, lifestyle, original and socially responsible programming. The announcement was jointly made by and ALN President & CEO Chris Wyatt and Chairman Dr. Robert A. Schuller.
In their new roles at ALN, Ed Frazier will serve as Managing Director of Network Operations. John Goldhamer will serve as Executive Vice President, Production. And Jon Lunsford assumes the role of Executive Vice President, Business Affairs. Frazier, Goldhammer and Lunsford will work directly with ALNs CEO, Chris Wyatt, and the companys executive offices based in Dallas, Texas.
Frazier, Goldhammer and Lunsford will play pivotal roles in expanding the network across all levels following its acquisition by Wyatt and Schullers ComStar Media this past May.
Commenting on the staffing moves, Wyatt said, "It was evident from the onset that we were going to expand network operations and bring in highly respected and talented executives. In building the ALN team, our aim is to surround ourselves with executives who are as passionate as they are skilled in their respective fields. We have found true leaders and innovators in Ed Frazier, Jon Lunsford and John Goldhammer. Everyone will be instrumental in continuing the success of the network as we remain focused on our mission to build the premiere destination for family entertainment.
Ed Frazier has been involved in media and Internet technologies for over 25 years. As CEO of Liberty Sports he was one of the founding individuals of the Regional Sports Networks that make up Fox Sports today. Fraziers work in programming and distribution platforms has given him a unique perspective on issues facing both programmers and distributors.
Frazier was inducted into the Broadband Solutions Hall of Fame in 2000, and was recognized as a pioneer and leader in regional and international TV Networks. He was ranked in the top 25 most influential Sports executive in 1995. He worked with the NBA, NHL and MLB during a historic period when cable networks were new to the distribution of sports. He later initiated the founding of Satellite Sports Networks which was the first conditional access direct to home distributor of sports programming. His International experience includes the creation and launch of Star Sports in Hong Kong a venture that reached 42 countries in Asia.
Following Fox sports, Frazier was involved in a joint Venture with CoServ in the deployment and creation of advanced fiber networks. While at CoServ he led the acquisition of The MasterLink Group. Masterlink supplies advanced Internet technologies, for design, development and Internet marketing. Through MasterLink he is involved in Internet marketing and media. Including, pay per click advertising, video streaming, banner advertising, Google adwords, Yahoo, BING, and other directory and Internet marketing systems including direct e-mail, user targeting advertising, and e-commerce. In 2002 He launched Penny Entertainment a web streaming sports network that produces and distributes youth sports on the Internet and currently host over 800 sporting events.
In November 2005 Ed began working with RFD TV and led the companys efforts to expand its distribution. Since that time he has taken the RFD TV story to all the major Major Multi Channel System Operators and to several international distributors, in Asia, Africa and Europe. He has concluded agreements with DirecTV, Dish Network, Comcast, Charter, Mediacom, Suddenlink, Cox, and Time Warner as well as 600 independent cable distributors.
Jon Lunsford has acted as a senior executive in the media industry for over 20 years. He has founded and built a media lending group, restructured the operations and finances of highly leveraged companies, raised over $13 billion of capital for media companies, negotiated $4 billion in M&A transactions, and led sales, marketing and operations. Consulting clients have included Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, PanAmSat, and Sundance Entertainment.
Lunsford was formerly CFO, then CEO of SkyView Media Group, which produced, acquired and marketed pay television programming in European, Asian and Arabic languages, in partnership with DirecTV. While at SkyView Lunsford restated the financials, restructured the company and oversaw its auction. Before SkyView, Lunsford was Executive Vice President Finance for Falcon Cable TV, where he negotiated M&A transactions approximating $3 billion and arranged a series of bank and public debt offerings exceeding $4 billion. Prior to that Lunsford held a senior financial position with similar responsibilities at Continental Cablevision, where he arranged over $6 billion of financings and worked on over $2 billion of M&A transactions.
Lunsford began his career at Crestar (now SunTrust) Bank where he founded the media and telecommunications lending group. There he originated over $2 billion in new loans, including mezzanine debt, to a wide variety of clients, primarily highly leveraged media and telecommunications firms. Lunsford graduated from the College of William and Mary and is an active member of the Association for Corporate Growth. He serves on the board of Fresh Brewed Media.
John E. Goldhammer has over 35 years experience in broadcast television. He served as the Executive VP for Paramount Television Domestic Distribution and Senior VP of Television for MCA/Universal. Goldhammer is a multi-Emmy Award winning television producer, having produced such notable programs as Entertainment Tonight, The Prime Time Emmys, Miss USA, Vibe and more.
ALN is currently undergoing changes that include improving the networks on-air look, revamping syndicated programming and strategically rebranding the network as the destination for family values. The network is currently developing new original family-friendly based content to compliment an expansive offering of classic programs and films.
